AvePoint unveils new central hub for managing data security

AvePoint has launched its Risk Posture Command Center to assist organisations with data security posture management.

Integrated within the AvePoint Confidence Platform, the new Risk Posture Command Center provides a single interface offering immediate visibility into data security and organisational risk posture, coupled with actionable recommendations to help mitigate risks and maintain compliance.

This release expands AvePoint's suite of Command Centers in its platform, which are specifically designed for business and IT leaders seeking to manage potential vulnerabilities across their organisations' digital environments.

Many organisations are reportedly challenged with fragmented views of their data landscape and often rely on multiple dashboards and third-party systems to handle essential data security needs, including cloud backup, policy management, and operational intelligence. According to AvePoint, 86% of organisations find it difficult to balance data security needs with business objectives, while 47% of IT leaders express little or no confidence in their company's capability to manage security and access risks relating to artificial intelligence systems.

The Risk Posture Command Center is intended to address these issues by simplifying the data security process. It delivers immediate insight into risk postures and offers guidance on how to address vulnerabilities. The Risk Posture Command Center offers a range of features, including early threat detection through ransomware detection capabilities. It provides a centralised view of data protection status, backup health, and highlights instances of potential data oversharing. The tool also offers insights on possible compliance vulnerabilities, visual representations of the data landscape to support risk mitigation, and generates recommended insights for immediate action on highlighted security risks.

AvePoint's approach to Command Centers began with the release of its AI Confidence Command Center, which assists organisations with assessing the security and performance of their AI investments. This first Command Center supports the evaluation of Microsoft 365 Copilot adoption and highlights relevant risk factors and change management successes.
