Bitsight unveils AI tool to combat phishing & brand threats

Thu, 16th Oct 2025

Bitsight has announced the launch of its Brand Intelligence module, an AI-powered tool designed to help organisations detect, triage and respond to cyber threats targeting brands and executives.

Phishing and social engineering threats are becoming increasingly common, with many relying on impersonating trusted companies or high-profile individuals to deceive victims. According to Bitsight, over half of all browser phishing attempts now utilise brand impersonation as attackers seek to steal credentials, conduct fraudulent transactions or damage reputations.

Traditional cyber security solutions have struggled to keep pace with the growing scale and sophistication of these threats. Legacy systems often require slow, manual risk assessments, which can leave organisations exposed for longer periods and create gaps in visibility for security teams.

AI-powered approach

Bitsight Brand Intelligence aims to streamline this process by introducing AI-driven triage, contextual intelligence and automated takedown capabilities. The system is designed around what Bitsight describes as the "Four Ts" process - tailor, track, triage and takedown - providing continuous monitoring and detection, prioritisation of urgent incidents and coordinated threat resolution at scale.

"Most solutions stop at detection. Bitsight goes further - bringing together enriched intelligence, context, triage and proven takedown workflows," said Gabi Reish, VP Product Management at Bitsight. "With Bitsight Brand Intelligence, security teams don't just see threats, they stop them before reputational or financial damage occurs."

Brand and executive protection

The Brand Intelligence module offers unified, ongoing visibility into assets that are most commonly targeted, such as corporate brands and key executives. It is capable of identifying fraudulent applications, fake social media accounts, rogue mobile apps, and leaked credentials across the open, deep and dark web, as well as major social networking platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and YouTube.

In addition, its AI-driven triage system is intended to help security teams prioritise and resolve threats more efficiently, particularly for organisations with limited resources. Automated takedown workflows are also integrated, with Bitsight reporting an 85% success rate in removing threats, including in regions where mitigation can be more challenging.

Customer perspective

"As security leaders, we're inundated with isolated alerts that don't tell the full story," said Bryan Perkola, Senior Vice President of Information Security at First Community Credit Union. "What stands out with Bitsight is how threat intelligence is connected into our broader risk context - real-time external exposure, vendor risk posture, and insights across the open, deep and dark web. That context helps us move beyond chasing incidents to making proactive, business-driven security decisions."

The platform's coverage now includes not just detection of phishing campaigns and impersonation attempts, but also the ability to identify and eliminate rogue mobile applications that mimic legitimate brands in global app stores.

This ability to triage incidents and initiate takedown processes through an automated, AI-supported system is intended to reduce the time between detection and resolution, helping organisations act more decisively before significant reputational or financial harm can occur.

Industry recognition

Bitsight's launch coincides with recognition from the CyberSecurity Breakthrough Awards, where the company has been named "Threat Detection Solution Provider of the Year" for 2025. This programme recognises global cyber security firms, solutions and professionals.

Bitsight Brand Intelligence is currently offered as part of the company's broader Threat Intelligence suite. Its focus on automation and AI-driven contextual analysis is positioned to address the challenge of handling the increasing volume and complexity of cyber threats, especially those exploiting trusted brands and figures.

Bitsight provides risk intelligence to over 3,500 customers and covers more than 68,000 organisations through its platform, supplying real-time insights drawn from external cybersecurity data to help teams manage vulnerabilities and threat exposure.
