CYFOX unveils OmniSec GenAI to ease security workloads

Yesterday

CYFOX has announced the launch of OmniSec GenAI vCISO, a new autonomous security and compliance platform designed to ease workloads for Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) and Data Protection Officers (DPOs), while ensuring organisational compliance with changing regulatory standards.

OmniSec aims to aid organisations, particularly those with limited security resources or significant compliance challenges, by automating security audits and compliance gap analysis. The platform is designed to be easily implemented by companies seeking to enhance their security and reduce associated costs.

Joseph Tal, CEO of CYFOX, explained, "OmniSec's automated system has the time that understaffed security teams lack to burrow into all aspects of a company's network, from the IT, IoT, and OT to individual devices to ensure compliance and security." This highlights the platform's ability to enhance security by addressing the comprehensive networks within organisations.

The large language models utilised by OmniSec process various compliance frameworks such as NIST, ISO, HIPAA, GDPR, and PCI-DSS, and can handle company policies in their original language. The system employs GenAI to automate thorough gap analyses and reporting across diverse areas such as employee activities, application security, and external supply chains, all ensuring full data encryption.

OmniSec is designed to produce mitigation and remediation plans based on gap analyses for the whole organisation. Tasks that can be automated are directly addressed by OmniSec, while those requiring manual effort are systematically outlined and prioritised by importance as per compliance urgency. This initiative aims to alleviate the workload on CISOs and DPOs, thereby increasing visibility and reducing fatigue.

The platform is capable of evaluating current security measures, such as firewalls, endpoint protection solutions, security posture management tools, identity and access management (IAM) systems, and data loss prevention (DLP) systems. OmniSec can identify employees who breach security policies and can assist in deploying training programs to reinforce adherence to both regulatory and internal security policies.

OmniSec provides comprehensive dashboards for C-level executives that offer real-time insights into the organisation's cybersecurity and compliance status, which considerably decreases the necessity for manual audits. The platform also delivers automated threat detection, risk assessment, and response operations by using network and endpoint data to spot deviations and non-compliant configurations, ensuring audit-ready report generation in real time.

The platform's actionable recommendations facilitate the closure of compliance gaps and streamline audit processes. By offering real-time insights into potential threats and vulnerabilities, organisations can proactively manage risks and remain protected as new threats materialise.

Concluding his remarks, Tal stated, "We created a platform that combines all the best features of generally available security and compliance tools but without the related alert fatigue and overwhelming mitigation tasks." This reflects CYFOX's intention to deliver a comprehensive solution that integrates existing security needs without causing additional strain for security professionals.
