Exabeam named Google Unified Security partner for analytics

Exabeam has been named a Google Unified Security Recommended partner for its integration of Exabeam New-Scale Analytics with Google Security Operations.

The designation places Exabeam in Google's recommended partner programme for the Analytics & Ops domain, where vendors are assessed on the strength of their technical integration with Google's security platform.

Organisations use Google Security Operations to centralise and correlate security telemetry in a cloud-based environment. Exabeam's analytics layer adds behavioural analysis to help security teams spot patterns that may not be visible in single events.

The combined setup is intended to improve the detection of insider threats by sharing data between Google Security Operations and Exabeam New-Scale Analytics. It is designed to give analysts more context around activity by both employees and AI agents, particularly when individual actions appear legitimate on their own.

According to the announcement, the arrangement can help analysts identify higher-risk activity earlier, reduce false positives and prioritise investigations across human users and AI systems.

Data sharing

One operational point highlighted in the announcement is cost and complexity. Because Exabeam's New-Scale Security Operations Platform and Google Security Operations are both built on Google Cloud, data can be shared from Google Security Operations to Exabeam without egress charges. That reduces the need to move information into a separate analytics environment.

This matters for security teams handling rising volumes of alerts while trying to analyse behaviour over time rather than review isolated incidents. The companies are positioning behavioural analytics as a way to distinguish genuine risk from normal activity.

Exabeam said its system establishes baselines of normal behaviour and looks for deviations that could indicate compromised accounts, malicious insiders or risky AI agent activity. The focus reflects a broader shift in cyber security as organisations give software agents greater access to systems, tools and workflows.

That shift has created new monitoring challenges. A sequence of legitimate-looking actions can still amount to elevated risk when viewed as a pattern, particularly when non-human identities are involved in automated tasks and decision-making.

Pete Harteveld, Chief Executive Officer of Exabeam, said the designation reflects the relationship between the two companies.

He added that many security teams need more behavioural context to manage mounting alert volumes.

AI focus

Google also framed the partnership around a push for interoperability in AI-led security operations. As companies adopt more autonomous systems, suppliers are under pressure to make tools work together without adding integration work for customers.

Dr. Andre Alfred, senior director of Cloud Security Threat Operations at Google Cloud, said the programme is intended to reduce that burden.

Exabeam said New-Scale Analytics is available to Google Security Operations customers through Google Cloud Marketplace. Eligible purchases can count towards existing Google Cloud spending commitments.

Exabeam said it is used by more than 3,000 enterprises worldwide.
