KnowBe4 tops G2 as award haul boosts cyber profile

Tue, 7th Apr 2026

KnowBe4 ranked first on G2 in Security Awareness Training and Incident Response, while also collecting several cybersecurity, workplace and advertising awards in the first quarter.

Based on customer reviews, the G2 ranking extends a run of more than six years at the top of the Security Awareness Training category. In the latest review set, KnowBe4 received more than 2,200 responses on G2, with 98 per cent of users giving four or five stars and 93 per cent saying they would recommend the training product.

The recognition spanned several parts of the business, from cyber products to workplace culture and marketing. Awards included Gold in the Human Risk Management category of the Cybersecurity Excellence Awards for KnowBe4's HRM+ product, and Gold for Cybersecurity Company of the Year from the Globee Awards.

Two workplace honours also featured in the quarter's tally. KnowBe4 was named among the Khaleej Times Best Places to Work in the UAE and the Tampa Bay Times Top Workplaces, marking its 11th year on the Tampa Bay list.

KnowBe4's security awareness training series, "The Inside Man", also received two awards at the 2026 Cybersecurity Gold Awards in France, known as les Cas d'OR de la Cyber sécurité. In advertising, its "Save the Humans" commercial won Gold and Silver Addy awards from the Tampa Bay American Advertising Awards.

KnowBe4 says it serves more than 70,000 organisations worldwide and focuses on security awareness training and human and AI risk management. Its HRM+ platform includes awareness training, cloud email security, real-time coaching, anti-phishing tools and AI defence agents.

Customer rankings

G2 rankings are closely watched in software markets because they rely heavily on user reviews rather than analyst assessments. For cybersecurity companies, a top position in categories tied to training and incident response can support sales efforts with buyers looking for evidence of customer satisfaction and sustained product use.

KnowBe4 has built much of its market presence around employee training against phishing and other social engineering risks. Recognition in incident response broadens the company's profile beyond awareness training at a time when security suppliers are trying to address a wider range of organisational risks linked to staff behaviour and automated systems.

Broader push

The awards list also points to a broader effort to position the company beyond software products. Workplace awards highlight staff retention and employer reputation, while the advertising prizes suggest greater investment in brand marketing as competition in cyber awareness and risk management intensifies.

Bryan Palma, Chief Executive Officer of KnowBe4, linked the awards to both product development and internal culture.

"This long list of accolades is a powerful testament to our commitment to innovating human and AI risk management while building upon our incredible company culture," Palma said.

"Winning multiple cybersecurity industry awards, especially from G2 which reflects our customers' voices, cements our position as the market leader. The top workplace awards show the incredible, dynamic company culture we have fostered over the last 15 years."

He also commented on the recognition for the company's commercial work.

"We are proud of our first company commercial for 'Save the Humans'," Palma said.

"The advertising awards are a reflection of the bold, modern approach to our recent brand refresh," Palma added.

KnowBe4's recent award haul comes as cybersecurity vendors increasingly try to stand out not only through technical tools, but also through customer sentiment, staff reputation and broader brand visibility in a crowded market.
