Integrity360 has rebranded Advantus360 in Canada, folding the Calgary business into the wider group after acquiring it earlier this year.

The move is the latest step in the cyber security company's North American expansion, with Calgary positioned as its base for further growth in Canada and the US.

Founded in 2015, Advantus360 built its business in Western Canada around organisations with complex cyber security needs. Its customer base spans oil and gas, energy, transportation, manufacturing, financial services and mining.

With the name change taking immediate effect, the Calgary team will continue to serve customers from the city. The site will also become a key location in Integrity360's global Security Operations Centre network, supporting customers across Canada and into the US.

The integration also gives Canadian customers access to Integrity360's expanded Identity Services practice, which includes more than 90 specialists and holds more than 800 vendor certifications, according to the company.

The practice focuses on securing and managing human, machine and AI identities. Its work covers Access Management, Privileged Access Management, and Identity Governance and Administration.

Growth plans

Integrity360 acquired Advantus360 in January and has now completed the process of bringing the business under its own brand. The change reflects a shift from establishing a foothold in Canada to building a larger regional operation.

Ian Brown, Executive Chairman of Integrity360, said Calgary gives the business a strong position in sectors where cyber security demand is high, including energy and critical infrastructure.

Brown said: "The acquisition got us into the Canadian market, but our plans go much further than that. Calgary gives us a strong position in sectors such as energy and critical infrastructure, and we now have the opportunity to bring capabilities from across Integrity360 directly to customers here.

"Our expanded Identity Services practice is a good example of that. Canadian customers can now draw on a global team of Identity specialists as they deal with the growing challenge of securing human, machine and AI identities. We want to keep adding that depth of expertise in Canada and build a much larger business from the strong base we already have."

Integrity360's Canadian leadership said the immediate focus will be on deepening its presence across Alberta, the Prairies and British Columbia. That regional footprint is expected to form the basis for broader North American growth.

Herbst said: "There is considerable demand for cybersecurity expertise across Western Canada, particularly in critical infrastructure. We know these markets and understand the challenges our customers face. We can now combine that local experience with the broader capabilities of Integrity360. Our focus now is to deepen our presence across Alberta, the Prairies and British Columbia, and use that footprint as the foundation for further growth."

Canadian base

Calgary has become a strategic location for cyber security suppliers serving Canada's energy and industrial sectors, which face rising pressure to strengthen digital defences. For Integrity360, the city offers a local base in a market where operational technology, critical infrastructure and regulated industries create steady demand for specialist services.

Integrity360 employs about 900 people across 16 regional locations in the UK, Europe, Africa and Canada. It also runs seven global Security Operations Centres.

The group provides professional, support and managed cyber security services to mid-market and large organisations in sectors including financial services, insurance, energy, transportation, government, healthcare, manufacturing, retail, telecoms and utilities.

Customers and partners using the former Advantus360 brand will see continuity during the transition. Existing email addresses will continue to work, while the previous website is being redirected to Integrity360's Canadian business.

The rebrand gives Integrity360 a single name in the Canadian market as it builds out its operations from Western Canada. It also gives former Advantus360 customers direct access to a wider pool of specialist identity security staff within the international group.

Integrity360 received strategic investment from London-based private equity firm August Equity in 2021 as part of a wider growth plan that has supported its international expansion.

The former Advantus360 business now operates as Integrity360, with its existing team continuing to support customers from Calgary.
