Gallagher Security wins OSPA for High Sec C7000 controller
Gallagher Security's High Security Controller 7000 (High Sec C7000) has received recognition as the Outstanding New Security Product at the Canada Outstanding Security Performance Awards (OSPAs). This represents the fourth award for the High Sec C7000 and the eleventh for the 7000 Controller Series.
Product recognition
The High Sec C7000 has been cited for its resilience, cyber assurance, and suitability for use in demanding environments. The recognition follows previous awards for the controller series in markets including Australia and New Zealand.
"The High Sec C7000 reflects years of investment into secure architecture and forward-looking design. To see it honored again on a global stage reinforces that we're solving real challenges for high-security customers who can't afford compromise," said Jim Rayner, Senior Product Manager, Gallagher Security.
Technical compliance
The High Sec C7000 is designed for critical infrastructure, government, and high-consequence commercial applications. It incorporates a GSA-approved, PIV-compliant design in line with FIPS 201-3, and it meets UL/ULC compliance requirements. The unit also carries Class 5 certification for Australia and New Zealand.
Technical features include a FIPS-approved microprocessor, EdgeLock Secure Element, and a Trusted Execution Environment. The system provides hardware-based security, with measures to protect firmware integrity and defend against potential supply chain vulnerabilities.
Cybersecurity focus
The product's security framework aims to support organisations that require strict performance and regulatory adherence in access management. Gallagher says the controller is intended to reduce operational complexity while improving security outcomes for sensitive sectors.
"This award is especially meaningful because it recognizes innovation that is both practical and mission-focused. Organisations are looking for technology that strengthens defenses without adding complexity. The High Sec C7000 gives them that confidence - resilient performance, deep cybersecurity capability, and the assurance they need to operate securely at scale," said Jeff Fields, Director of Government Programmes - Americas, Gallagher Security.
Market response
The OSPAs recognise achievements across the security sector, highlighting products and organisations that demonstrate effectiveness and robust operational standards. The High Sec C7000's latest award follows ongoing demand for cyber-resilient access solutions in both government and private sectors.
With a total of eleven awards across its Controller 7000 Series, including Standard, Enhanced, Single Door, and High Security models, Gallagher Security continues to offer solutions targeting enterprise and critical infrastructure requirements.
